Museum of North Craven Life, Settle
We have created a ‘Railway Room’ at the Museum telling the story of the Settle-Carlisle line and the people who worked on it.
In 2019 we opened a new permanent exhibition within The Folly, home to the Museum of North Craven Life in Settle. We tell the story of the line brought to life by objects such as the porter’s desk from Horton station and a kit used to test for colour blindness ( an important requirement for railway workers who need to distinguish between green and red lamp colours).
